Dr. Thomas Bisbas was born in the city of Katerini in Greece, at the foot of world famous Mt. Olympus.
He graduated with the degree in Physics from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Greece) and obtained his Ph.D. from Cardiff University (UK). He has been a postdoctoral researcher at the Czech Academy of Sciences, University College London, Max-Planck-Institut for Extraterrestrial Physics, University of Florida, University of Virginia and the National Observatory of Athens.
He is the co-founder of the Olympian Centre for Astrophysics and the main organizer of the Olympian Symposium international conferences. He organizes various outreach activities in Greece for different audiences including school children (the “Magical University”) and the general public.
